What We Want
With big dreams come big needs. We are looking for a part OR full-time, Junior Development and Quality Assurance Specialist (Remote Position Only). This individual would ideally be someone with a young and entry-level understanding of development and wishes to gain experience in engineering and be surrounded by a team of talented engineers. This Junior Development and Quality Assurance Specialist will not need a proven track record of development, but would need to demonstrate an interest in development and a employable level of understanding around the fundamentals of development concepts. This Junior Development and Quality Assurance Specialist will be routinely exposed to a team of talented engineers and be asked to assist with a variety of entry-level needs for development. Likewise, this individual will also gain experience in the overall delivery of a finished product to clients and contribute to the quality assurance process of a development project. Individuals with more experience in development will certainly have an advantage over other applicants that do not.

You are highly attentive to detail and know how to identify the specifics in projects to produce a high quality product

The Ideal Candidate Should Have:
A college degree and 1 year of work experience in an IT and/or development environment
A demonstrable interest and understanding of web development concepts
Demonstrable attentiveness to details of all sizes
Top-notch organizational skills
Experience modifying and building spreadsheets within Google Sheets or Excel
Experience with common project management tools (ie. JIRA, Asana, Monday.com)
Experience working in both Waterfall and Agile management styles
Proven experience of QA testing for other projects and/or companies
An entry level understanding of HTML, CSS, and/or Javascript
Some experience with the following platforms:
Shopify
Wordpress
Drupal
Magento
BigCommerce
A desire to learn quickly and aggressively in the areas of development s/he may not be familiar with

Nice to haves:
Experience developing websites using HTML, CSS3, PHP, and/or Javascript
Experience developing eCommerce stores on Shopify, Bigcommerce, Wordpress, and/or Magento
Experience with version management tools such as Git or SVN
Experience operating servers and command lines
Experience in large scale data management through MySQL
